With an interest in art and medicinal plants, on retiring from running her physiotherapy practice Joanna Craig-McFeely took up botanical illustration and became a member of several National Art societies serving as a director of the SBA for ten years. Attending Jenny Phillips Master classes in Venice she adopted her technique of a limited pallet of only six water colour paints using  them on both paper and vellum. A holder of five silver gilt RHS medals her work is published and held in collections including The Hunt Institute for Botanical Illustration USA,  the King’s Highgrove Florilegium collection and over twenty illustrations held in the CPGFS archives. Joanna is a fellow of the Linnean Society.
