Sally Pinhey

Environmentalist, Sally has illustrated five specialist books, “Pears” by Jim Arbury and Sally Pinhey.  Wells and Winter. 1997  “Plums” by Jim Arbury and Sally Pinhey.   Beaumont Press.  2002.  “Natural Dyes” by Judy Hardman and Sally Pinhey.  Crowood Press. 2009.  She both wrote and illustrated “The Botanical Illustrator’s Handbook”.  2014 Crowood Press and  Her illustrated guide for “Plants for Soil Regeneration” with Margaret Tebbs was published in 2022 by CABI.   RHS medal- holder and teacher-trained, she taught at Kingston Maurward College, Dorset from 2003-2021, and formerly at the Eden Project, and Art in Action from 2002-5. She now teaches at Hilliers, Romsey and for the Dorset Wildlife Trust in Weymouth.

Sally’s current projects are centred on diversity in agriculture.
