Jill began studying botanical illustration with Anne-Marie Evans at her home in Rutland after taking early retirement.  She particularly likes to paint trees.   Jill has been awarded a silver-gilt medal by the RHS (London, 2015) and has paintings in both the Highgrove and Transylvania Florilegia.  As well as being a Fellow of the Chelsea Physic Garden Florilegium Society and having work in their archive, she also belongs to the Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustrators and contributes to their group exhibitions, including at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, Kew (2011), as well as many locally.
